Valhaus is a gastronomic brand that combines a passion for craft beer with a carefully designed culinary experience. Its menu stands out for a wide variety of gourmet burgers, paired with a selection of house-brewed beers made from the finest ingredients.
In a market where competition is fierce and product offerings can be similar, Valhaus differentiates itself through a brand experience strategy. Every detail is thoughtfully crafted to create an authentic and immersive atmosphere—from its visual identity and architecture to customer service and the quality of each dish.
More than just a restaurant, Valhaus is a gathering place for craft beer and food enthusiasts, offering a unique ambiance that invites guests to indulge and discover new flavors.
In the design process, it is essential to make decisions that balance brand strategy with functionality and aesthetics. The Valhaus primary logo, inspired by heraldic symbols, provides a distinctive and meaningful identity. However, due to its level of detail, it presents challenges when scaled down to smaller sizes.
To ensure versatility and performance across different formats, we developed a minimal logo variant. This simplified version preserves the brand’s essence while optimizing legibility in smaller applications, ensuring efficient use without compromising visual identity.
Since the brand will primarily be implemented in controlled environments by the company, this strategy allows us to maintain the impact of the primary logo while adapting to the technical requirements of different applications.
Valhaus is a brand inspired by Norse mythology, offering an authentic culinary experience. Its visual identity is based on Odin, the god of wisdom and war, reflecting the brand’s strength and character. Unlike the traditional rustic tavern aesthetic, Valhaus embraces a more modern and refined approach, creating an atmosphere that balances tradition with contemporary style. This positions it as a space where craft beer and gourmet cuisine come together in a unique and distinctive way.
Naming Process
The name Valhaus is a neologism formed by combining two words:
• VALHALLA: In Norse mythology, it is the great hall where Odin welcomes fallen warriors to feast.
• HAUS: The German word for "house," chosen for its easy reading and pronunciation.
The fusion of these terms results in a distinctive name with a strong character.
